NDA Eligibility Criteria (as per UPSC)

NDA
📅 1. Age Limit Minimum Age: 16½ years Maximum Age: 19½ years No age relaxation for any category (same for General, OBC, SC/ST). Example: For NDA 2026 (Approx), candidates born between 2 July 2007 and 1 July 2010 are eligible.

🎓 2. Educational Qualification

Wing    Required Qualification

Army Wing    Must have passed Class 12 (10+2) from a recognized board. Any stream (Arts, Commerce, or Science) is allowed.
Air Force & Naval Wing    Must have passed Class 12 (10+2) with Physics and Mathematics.
NDA aspirants appearing in Class 12 (final exams) can also apply provisionally.

🚹 3. Gender & Marital Status

Only unmarried male and female candidates can apply.

Marriage is not allowed during training at NDA.

🇮🇳 4. Nationality

The candidate must be:

A citizen of India, or

A subject of Nepal, or

A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or East African countries (like Kenya, Uganda, etc.) intending to settle permanently in India.

💪 5. Physical & Medical Standards

You must be physically fit as per NDA standards:

Height: Minimum 157 cm (for Army/Navy), and 162.5 cm (for Air Force).

Vision: Must have good eyesight (6/6 or 6/9, corrected).

No chronic diseases, flat feet, or knock knees.

Medical exam is done after SSB interview.

🧠 6. Selection Process

1. Written Exam (by UPSC)

2 papers: Mathematics (300 marks) and GAT – General Ability Test (600 marks)

 

2. SSB Interview (900 marks)

Psychological tests, group tasks, and personal interview.

 

3. Medical Test

Final selection based on all three stages.
